为什么申请英国院校需要提交申请费?

第一，很多知名院校申请者太多，太多的申请材料超过学校的处理能力，学校需要雇佣大量人力来处理；

第二，避免学生海量投递，给学校带来不必要的审理压力。很多学生因为学校不要申请费，会同时申请很多院校，给学校的申请系统带来巨大的压力，同时也增加学校的审理压力。

基于以上两个主要原因，很多知名院校或院校的知名专业在申请过程中需要学生提交申请费。申请费一旦缴纳，大多数情况下不予退还。

缴费方式

缴纳申请费时，需要双币信用卡，比如VISA或MASTER；一般需要申请前(每年10月前)，由父母进行办理，并同时开通境外网络支付功能。在申校时，需要提交持卡人的姓名、卡号、卡有效期、卡背面后3位，学校会进行扣款，一般只有完成申请费的支付，才能完成整个申请过程。
